About Us

"In the Fall of 1998, several women at George Mason University began to research Latina Greek-Letter organizations. They sought to be part of an organization that would impact and ultimately bring forth unity within the Latino Community. Through their research, these women realized they wanted an organization comprised of individuals that exhibited strength, determination, commitment, and the motivation to meet the needs of Latinos in America and that welcomed all women."               - Mu Chapter LPC

Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Inc. was the first Latina-based sorority to be founded at an ivy-league institution at Cornell University on April 16, 1988.
