About Us
• This organization exists to inspire the creativity and artistry of its members and society at large via blacksmithing and artistic knifemaking. • We hold before all else the significance of adhering to George Mason University policy, and of the George Mason University and City of Fairfax Police Departments’ directions. • We are committed to working with these enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of the public and that our art is not misinterpreted or misused as an instrument of evil. • We are committed to making available this artform which is often inaccessible to those who lack the space, funds, tools, or time to practice it. • We are committed to emphasizing safe practices and techniques and providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to those who practice with us. • We are committed to an acknowledgement that we will always be learning new skills and always improving and strive to see the improvements in others without judgement. We are each teacher and student to one another.
