About Us

The Black Law Student Association at George Mason University shall be an organization dedicated to Black students interested in pursuing a career in the field of law. The objectives of this organization include establishing a supportive and inclusive environment for Black pre-law students through the provision of a supportive and inclusive environment. We will also provide fundamental resources for applying to law school and diverse networks. The BLSA will serve as a bridge between Black students and post-graduate opportunities relating to law. This organization will become a safe place to address the concerns of Black professionals within the field. The BLSA also seeks to advocate for the awareness of issues and injustices plaguing Black communities around the world. Furthermore, we seek to engage students in the awareness of social issues of the intersection between law and social issues in today's socio-political climate.
