Letter from the Team 💚💛

Hello everyone!

This will be the last FSL newsletter of the Fall 2025 semester!!! Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read these every other week, and a special shoutout to members and officers who take the time to share what we post to your chapters. Only about 25% of members actually open this newsletter every time it is posted, and the more people that know about it, the greater the support we get for all of our efforts. You could be Nathan's favorite greek life member if you tell your chapter to check their spam every other Wednesday for a Mason360 notification :D

We want to do some big things in the Spring semester. Our team has grown, with the addition of another graduate assistant and two amazing undergraduate staff, who you can already see making an impact on our social media and event quality! We hope to keep this positive trajectory going, with excited ideas for huge community wide events, greater community service access, and continued forums for student voices. However, none of our work is possible without you, the students, and we thank every single one of you who shows up, gives feedback, and continues to make FSL a place to develop yourself and build lifelong friendships. 

We will always value student feedback, and want to allow holistic feedback from all members here. Please take a few moments to fill out this voluntary survey on your experience with FSL programming. We greatly appreciate the ideas, constructive criticism, and support that you all give to our office. It is why we do what we do. 

We hope that everyone has a successful finals season and offer a huge congratulations to any members graduating this Winter. We will miss you. Good luck, have a great holiday break, and we hope to continue to improve on your FSL experience in the Spring!

Join FSL for a Study Break!!

Tired of studying on reading day? Join Fraternity and Sorority Life for a quick bite to eat and some board games in the HUB!! We will have games ranging from Monopoly and Catan to Uno and Dominoes (including Domino's pizza😋).

Bring your fellow members and friends! Register on Mason360 here to ensure we have enough food!  

Registration for the Spring Leadership Retreat Open

Chapter presidents (or representatives from your chapter's executive board) and council executive board members are required to register for the two-day FSL Leadership Retreat on January 14th and 15th. Please ensure that your organization has a representative at this retreat. Please email fsl@gmu.edu ASAP with your organization name and replacement representative if you cannot attend. 

Glance into Greek Information!

Is your organization ready for Glance into Greek? The Spring 2026 edition will take place in JC Dewberry Hall from 4-7pm on January 28th. We hope to see all of our organizations there!!! This is one of the largest opportunities for students exploring Greek life to meet as many chapters as possible, and learn more about spring recruitment processes.

Greeks, it's time to pack the Bank!!! Our GMU Men's Basketball team is on a historic 9-0 run to start the season, our best start in school history (previously 5-0). Schools are scared to face the Patriot Pressure at home, and our students have the opportunity to cement EagleBank Arena as one of the hardest places to play in the A-10 this season. Show out, witness history, and cheer on our green and gold!!

Join us on December 4th for an evening that celebrates the vibrant cultural identities and creative talents of our Mason community! From music and dance to poetry and visual art, this is your chance to experience storytelling like never before.

Sign up for a table at the upcoming Spring Get Connected Fair in the lower level of the johnson Center.
