Mason Choirs very own A Cappella group, featuring student arrangements of various works across all genres!
Come and Groove
This is an audition-based ensemble with mission to cultivate a spirit of collaboration among students here at George Mason University by providing them a positive environment to express musicianship and gain performance experience through a cappella style music. This ensemble also functions through the mason choir program looking to provide an environment for musicians unable to participate in the course while still allowing them to learn and grow through the program.

Auditions are open to everyone and it's super simple. Sign up for an audition slot where you will meet with the president and faculty advisor. From there you will be asked to sing a short section of a song of your choosing! You must also be prepared to sight read 4 measures of music, pitch match and improvise over a melody played by our assistant director no prior musical experience is required to audition!
After your audition you will receive a email from the Groove Theory President asking you to attend a group call back auditions. In that email will be a short section of a song to prepare for the group audition. In this audition you will meet, sing and get a chance to groove with current members! Once this audition has concluded you will receive an email informing you of your audition results!
