About Us

On October 31st, 2013 a small group of friends with a shared interest in vocal music founded George Mason University's first co-ed a cappella group. Looking to professional groups and other established collegiate a cappella ensembles for inspiration, the founders sought to bring the sounds of vocal pop music to northern Virginia. Over twelve years, the Pitches have grown from a small contingent of a cappella enthusiasts to a 15-person ensemble which performs actively in the DC-Metro area.
