Sample Lesson Plan: These lesson plans will help students learn about Degree Works, academic policies, how to select and register for courses, and campus resources. It includes 4 activities which can be done with the entire lesson or individually.
Activity: This form is to be referenced when the student meets with their advisor. This document gives them prompts to look at their degree audit and a space to provide reflection on what they have found. They are also provided a space to list potential classes based on what they found. They are to schedule an appointment with their advisor and bring this filled out form with them.
Activity: PowerPoint meets interactive activity in this virtual scavenger hunt. Students learn how to navigate George Mason's website to find information on the semester calendar, advising, workshops, and more.
PowerPoint: A powerpoint provided to UNIV by career services that discusses the resources available to help students reach their goals.
Activity: This is a fully interactive jeopardy game that can be played in real time with students which allows them to polish their skills on important academic policies that are relevant to them as a student.
Activity: This brief activity acts as a guide to first test students about three facts they know about various policies like suspensions, withdrawals, and probation. This will also help them learn the policies and what is available to them at Mason.
