Tip #1´©ÅÔâú: Complete Your Profile
Before you attend the Career Fair you'll want to have a polished resume ready to share with employers. It's equally important to complete your Handshake profile. Not only is it a great way to track and catalog your skills and experiences, but it's also the best way to get noticed by employers. Here are the main things to focus on:
- Check that the basics are accurate: graduation date, school year, major, GPA and work authorization.
- Select the job types, locations and roles that interest you
- Add your courses, skills, and previous work experience
Got a great resume? Build your profile quickly!
Simply upload your resume and Handshake will fill in the appropriate sections. You'll have the opportunity to approve and edit each field to make sure your profile accurately reflects your resume.
Pro-tip: Make your profile visible to employers so they can view all of your accomplishments and contact you.
