About Us
The Institute brings, under one roof, researchers from a number of disciplines focusing on technologies, diagnostics and therapies targeting some of the most complex and pervasive diseases of our time. Researchers from Mason's science, engineering, health, and education colleges collaborate at the institute. Current research includes personalized medicine, proteomics, cancer treatments, Lyme disease, nanotechnology-based diagnostics and infectious diseases. The Institute is guided by the translational mission to bring solutions to market, thus maximizing their impact in human health and creating economic opportunity for Virginia.
