About Us
The Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS), formerly the Minority Association of Premedical Students, is an organization, encourages and prepares students to become competitive applicants for medical school or other health field programs. This organization is committed to promoting diversity and enhancing the recruitment of culturally diverse students in the healthcare field. Any student who believes in the MAPS mission is welcome. MAPS was originally founded at GMU in the Fall of 2012 and has just recently been re-established starting Fall of 2015. As an organization we have gathered and motivated students interested in medicine to pursue their desired professions. MAPS encourages students to network and seek experiences necessary to succeed in the healthcare field. In addition to our monthly meetings, we have speakers, resume clinics, and the opportunity to attend health conferences around the DC Area and nationwide.
