Hope you all had a great start to the Spring 2023 semester! We’re excited to see the campus incredibly vibrant and full of students, using our new or renovated facilities on-campus. However, it saddens us to hear some of our facilities being used in an unrespectful manner from our cleaning staff that work very hard to make Mason Korea a clean and tidy environment for everyone to be in. Thank you to our community members, including students, who appropriately notified us of such an issue.
First, please respect the rules and guidelines for our common spaces such as the Student Lounge. While our new games, appliances, and furniture, such as the electronic dartboard at the Student Lounge, all are here for your convenience, we ask you that they be used respectfully and with care so that other students may also use them. We hope to see more fun and helpful additions to our facilities in the future, which you can help by adhering to the rules and guidelines. This includes places like our toilets as well - please dispose of any trash in an appropriate manner.
Finally, the Incheon Global Campus is a smoke-free campus. This means that while there are designated smoking booths on-campus for you to use, smoking in a non-smoking area could lead to a fine of up to 100,000 KRW according to Korean law and regulations, including the space between the Mason Korea and Utah Asia Campus buildings. Please make sure to respect other community members on-campus by ensuring that our campus stays smoke-free. For your reference, these are our two designated smoking areas in the Incheon Global Campus:
