About Us

The Somali Student Association seeks to unite Somalis and non-Somalis by sharing the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and history of the Somali people with the George Mason University community. To promote cultural and social awareness of the Somali people amongst the entire student and faculty at George Mason University. To amend the misconceptions of Somali people, culture, and places. To facilitate better communication and understand between Somali people and all other members of the university community. To promote unity amongst the Somali students at George Mason University and providing a space where they can connect and collaborate on campus.
