We hope this newsletter finds you in the best of health, inshaAllah. Read on for information on Tuesday's Foundations of Faith halaqah, registration links for the next Brothers' Circle and Sisters' Circle sessions, and information on how to keep in touch with us.
We are continuing to hold our in-person events, such as discussions/halaqas, socials, and Jumuah (Friday) Prayers. However, as we are still in the middle of a pandemic, we will be following all GMU Health and Safety Guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community. All attendees must:

Be vaccinated and wear a mask (if you have an approved exemption, please bring official documentation from Student Health Services to the event)

Introducing our Halaqah Series:
Foundations of Faith
Dr. Kia Jahed will join us in exploring the importance of faith and growing our knowledge and perspective on beliefs, doubts, and why we believe in Allah (SWT) and the message of Islam. The first session is next Tuesday, Oct. 19th, at 7:30 pm in the Hub Ballroom. Keep scrolling to view the full event schedule for the semester. Please plan to show up 15 minutes early! Thank you for coming to our second Sisters' Circle this week. We enjoyed meeting and engaging with you all, and we hope you'll join us again next week. As a reminder, Sisters' Circle is a safe space for sisters to discuss our faith and strengthen our sisterhood. Topics we plan on covering include: Hijab, Culture vs. Religion, How to Strengthen our Iman, and so much more! Join us for Jumuah Prayer every Friday this semester!
Please refer to the schedule for specific locations and timings. Any emergency schedule changes will be posted on our Instagram and sent out through Remind, so please be sure to join us on these platforms. Remember to RSVP online well in advance to secure your spot (you can click this on this flyer to do so!). As we enter a new school year full of exciting events, opportunities to grow ourselves as Muslims, and experiences that strengthen our community bonds, we have come up with a number of ways for you to stay involved and up-to-date with all things MSA!
We are hosting Friday Prayer (Jummah Prayer) for the student body. Prayer Times: -12:45pm -1:30pm As per Mason COVID guidelines, you must register before attending and show a green Mason COVID Healthcheck at the door.
A biweekly discussion based on the importance of faith, focusing on beliefs and doubts and why we even believe in God and Islam. Presented by Dr. Kia Jahed.
