CSA Family, can you believe we're almost done with Fall '22?!? ƒÿ▒ We hope you enjoyed your Halloween and are feeling ready to finish off these last four weeks strong! This November, we are kicking off our CSA Cares Series with two events that will allow members to give back to their communuties. We are also co-hosting an end-of-the-semester mixer with the African Student Association here at Mason! We can't wait to see all your faces at these upcoming events!

The cultural recommendation of the month is the Fall Caribbean Cook Off happening on Nov. 4th in DC's Family Life Community Center. This is a fundraiser for the Crowder Owens Food Bank so all proceeds go towards providing Thanksgiving baskets to families in need. Check out more information here!

We also want to wish the following countries Happy Independence Days! ƒÄë

Antigua and Barbuda ƒçªƒç¼ - November 1st
Dominica ƒç®ƒç▓ - November 3rd

ƒñÄ November Events ƒñÄ

Nov. 1st: Career Convos

This event was originally set to happen on October 18th but to be able to provide everyone with the best experience, we postponed it to Nov. 1st! During this meeting, we invite members to talk to current Caribbean professionals and grad students directly to get insights about the workforce. Bring your resumes and dress business casual!

Nov. 19th: Friendsgiving Potluck!

Before heading off to spend much needed time away during Thanksgiving break, we want to spend some quality time with our CSA members! Bring your best dish to our Friendsgiving potluck - the winner will get a special shoutout on our IG. This event is taking place outside of our normal meeting room so if you're coming, RSVP by DM'ing us and we will send you the address.

Nov. 8th: Card Making

Help us kick off our CSA Cares Series with us by writing some kind letters for an organization or person who inspired you this semester! We will place particular focus on giving thanks to the local organizations who helped Caribbean countries during this year's hurricane season. This will be a laid back meeting with some snacks and music. All craft supplies will be provided!

Come enjoy the end-of-the-semester with us and ASA during the last week of classes! We will have games, music, snacks and refreshments, and good vibes. This will be our last social event of the semester so don't miss this chance to mingle with everyone!

Registration will open soon!

Nov. 15th: Donation Drive

The second part of our CSA Cares Series will be centered on donating provisions to the GMU Patriot Pantry! On campus, there are students who face food insecurity or might have poor access to essential supplies like toiletries, warm coats, and blankets. If any of us have excess this holiday season, please donate it with us during this week! Check our IG for more details!
