Come learn about the wide variety of advanced data science applications across industries! It will feature data experts and practitioners across industries and disciplines as they discuss what lies ahead for data science in their respective industries and domains.
Challenge: Design an innovative technology solution that advances inclusive, scalable workforce development and entrepreneurial equity to promote productive economic growth and decent work for all.
This case competition asks both non-technical and technical university-level student teams around the world to devise innovative solutions that address the challenge of making decent job creation, entrepreneurship, and fair, sustainable labor a lifelong opportunity of economic growth for all. The competition theme is inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8. Your solution should address one of the diverse challenges aligned to this theme and demonstrate how technology can help communities in need around the world. While solution submissions do not need to include working code, you will need to describe the technologies required and how those technologies fit into the solution.
Complete one challenge and earn a free Microsoft Certification exam. There are seven challenges available to choose; select one that's right for you. Once you complete that challenge, you will earn a free Microsoft Certification exam that can be applied to your choice from a select list of options.
Amazon announced the Alexa Prize SocialBot Grand Challenge 5 (SGC5), the latest in an ongoing university challenge focused on creating conversational social bots that can speak coherently and engagingly with humans for 20 minutes on a range of current events and topics.
There are plenty of tutorials that cover coding aspects of Python. This one is an excellent series for beginners learning to code (Highly recommended) and a great refresher for intermediate programmers.
If you missed the game launch at Gurobi Days Digital in May, this webinar is a great chance to learn more about the game and introduce players to optimization or how it can be used by new learners interested in getting started with problem-solving with optimization. The free game (www.burritooptimizationgame.com) is accompanied by a series of tools explaining how to teach the game in a classroom setting, how to use the game on your own, and covering the intended educational takeaways. Gurobi created the game in collaboration with Dr. Larry Snyder of Lehigh University. The game's target audience is data scientists, but other problem solvers will also find the app valuable and educational.
