We hope this newsletter finds you in the best of health, inshaAllah. Read on for updates on our upcoming events, registration links, and information on how to keep in touch with us.

We are continuing to hold our in-person events, such as discussions/halaqas, socials, and Jummah (Friday) Prayers. However, as we are still in the middle of a pandemic, we will be following all GMU Health and Safety Guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community. All attendees must:

RSVP for the event in Mason360
Complete and show a Green Mason COVID Health Check at the door
Be vaccinated and wear a mask (if you have an approved exemption, please bring official documentation from Student Health Services to the event)

Join us for ice cream and meet some of your fellow MSA members! Although this event is sold out, we have secured an overflow room and can now accommodate more people from the waitlist. Check your emails to see if you've been admitted. If you got an email but you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration so another member can attend.

If you did not get an email, then you are still on the waitlist. We had 100 people on the waitlist, and we are so grateful that you all are as excited as we are to meet and mingle with our Muslim community. Unfortunately, we could only open up 50 spots. We will continue to send emails to admit members from the waitlist as spots open up. However, some of you will not be able to attend. We hope you all stay up to date with us through our weekly newsletters, social media, and Remind so you know when we announce new events. We'd love to see you at the next one.

Join us for dinner and games as we kick off the new semester! Meet your officers and socialize with fellow Muslims at Mason. This event will also serve as a General Body Meeting, so attendees will learn more about the MSA and how to get involved.

Alhamdulillah, this event is now full! We are overwhelmed by how quickly you guys have sold out our events thus far. If you haven't registered yet, we encourage you to join the waitlist in case any spots open up between now and next week. We'll send you an email if you got in. See you there!

Join us for Jummah Prayer every Friday this semester. Please refer to the schedule for specific locations and timings. Any emergency schedule changes will be posted on our Instagram and sent out through Remind, so please be sure to join us on these platforms. Remember to RSVP online well in advance to secure your spot. On Friday, complete your COVID health check and arrive 15 minutes early so we can check everyone in. We hope to see you there!
