The workshop is on historical data tracking, data visualization, and web scraping instead. The data consists of statutes from all 50 states, with our main focus being on the criminal justice system to understand how fines, fees, and penalties are affecting marginalized communities.

The mission is to advance efficiency and innovation in policymaking by using collected data to equip decision-makers with actionable insights to make changes in their communities. By students joining our small event, they'll be able to gain technical skills and also use their creative thinking for coming up with policy solutions.
