Join Welcome2Mason at this event and connect with the greater Mason Community! Explore Old Town Fairfax and connect with the local community before classes begin. Students can walk or take the free CUE Bus from campus to Old Town Fairfax and start their visit at Old Dominion Pizza, where they can claim a free slice of pizza and pick up an event map highlighting participating businesses. Grab some of the friends you've met during Orientation and the Preamble, then visit local restaurants, shops, and community partners offering samples, giveaways, and special welcomes for new Mason students while discovering the businesses and attractions that make Fairfax feel like home.

The starting point is Old Dominion Pizza. There are multiple ways to get there.

CUE Bus: If students haven’t ridden the CUE Bus Before they can meetup at the bus stop in between Rappahannock parking deck and the UPS store to ride over with other students! You will be lead by a Patriot Leader to the starting stop in Old Town Fairfax and then can walk around from there. There is only one bus per hour so please plan accordingly! You will be taking the Green 1 Bus which leaves at 12:42pm, 2:12pm, and 3:17pm. Sometimes the bus may arrive a few minutes early.

Driving and Parking: Off-campus students can drive and park in any of the parking decks/lots more details can be found: https://www.oldtownfairfax.org/parking. The closest parking is Old Town Plaza Public Parking Garage at 3925 Chain Bridge Rd.

Walking: From Rappahannock Parking Deck it is a 22 minute walk to Old Dominion Pizza.
