Kicking off on Monday, November 7th, the First-Gen+ Center has planned a host of events celebrating our first-generation college students here at Mason. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to all events as we center the narratives and experiences or our students through open discussion, community building, and meaningful engagement.

First Gen+ students, join us for an indoor rock climbing event at Sportrock in Alexandria. We will meet on the Fairfax Campus at Skyline Fitness Center at 10:30 am and travel together (transportation provided!) to Alexandria. We'll have guides there to belay with us and climb from around 11 am to 1 pm. We'll return to campus around 1:30 pm. No climbing experience necessary! :) We will provide climbing shoes, harnesses and helmets so all you need to bring are clothes comfortable to climb in, water and some snacks! We are limited to 10 participants for this trip - the first 10 to sign up will be registered and if anyone drops we will follow up with those on the waitlist. We are excited for this collaboration between the First Gen+ Center and Mason Recreation/Outdoor Adventures! :)
Join the Department of Global and Community Health and three Master of Public Health alumni to discuss what's it's like in the real world of work as a first-gen graduate.
