George Mason Esports Overwatch 2 Spring 2026 Tryouts

Overwatch 2 Spring 2026 Tryout Information:

Platform: PC ONLY

Date and Times:
- Sign-up Deadline: Friday, January 9th @ MIDNIGHT
- Main Tryout Dates: Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th @ 8:00 - 10:00 PM EST
- If needed, a last chance tryouts will be held a later TBD date for those who can't make it to the original tryout date

Requirements/Recommended Rank Requirements:
- MUST be a FULL-TIME GMU Student (minimum 12 credits)

Rank Requirements:
- GMU Patriots (Varsity): Masters 5+
- GMU Academy (JV): Platinum 5+

Player Expectations:
- Must be available 2–4 times/week for practice & matches
- Clear comms & mic discipline required
- Must be available for all leagues we participate in
- Follow player contract guidelines
- Be ready 15–30 mins before matches
- Handle schedule conflicts, repeated tardiness = bench/removal

Team Info:
- GMU Patriots: Varsity-level, top competitive team aiming for all major events
- Those who make the Patriots roster will have the opportunity to compete in a George Mason hosted LAN called "The Bloom" in April

- GMU Academy: JV-level, focused on skill growth & competitive development

Registration Process:
- Fill out the tryouts sign-up form with rank, role, and experience

Tryout Format:
- Series of inhouse matches where players will scrim against each other

Commitment Notice:
- Typical matches: Mon @ 7PM
- Weekends may have tournaments
