Our mission is to create a safe space for all students, including those who identify with the LGBTQ+ community, and involve the community through various associated events and discussions. Through events, educational programs, and open dialogue, we strive to empower students, encourage allyship, and foster a culture of respect and belonging.
You don't need previous experience in student government, campus leadership, or LGBTQ+ advocacy to join. GSA is especially good for students who want to build a more inclusive Mason Korea, support LGBTQ+ students and allies, have ideas for campus projects, want leadership experience, enjoy planning creative initiatives, want to meet students outside their usual social circle, or are interested in research, communication, design, events, media, or community building. Members gain real, hands-on experience turning ideas into action - whether that means organizing an event, designing promotional materials, collecting student feedback, conducting research, or advocating for an issue they care about.
