Join us to hear from Mark Ferbrache about his four decades of service across the FBI, IC, and the Department of Energy (DOE). One of the many career highlights of his time at the FBI was when he served as Unit Chief of the International Terrorism Operations Section. Earlier at the FBI, he served as their Legal Attaché in Prague, Assistant Legal Attaché in London, and held supervisory positions directing investigations into corruption, financial crime, and fraud. Following his work at the FBI, he served for 14 years in the DOE’s Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, leading and overseeing enterprise-wide efforts to identify, counter, and neutralize foreign intelligence threats to our national security. In this role, Ferbrache coordinated intelligence collection and analysis with the CIA, FBI, NSA, and other IC partners and regularly briefed senior US government leadership, including National Security Council staff. As Senior Inspector for the DOE’s Counterintelligence Inspections Program, he conducted evaluations of counterintelligence programs across headquarters and field offices in order to produce actionable assessments for senior leadership to strengthen the department and our nation’s security.
All of this is the tip of the iceberg, and we look forward to learning more about his career of service to the United States!
