Details

Konbini is a Japanese convenience store that functions as a high efficiency hub for daily life, far exceeding the typical expectations of a gas station or corner shop. Open 24/7, these stores; most notably 7-Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart offer a sophisticated range of high-quality fresh meals like onigiri (rice balls) and bento boxes, alongside essential services such as ATM banking, bill payments, and package shipping. Their reputation stems from an obsession with seasonal product rotation and impeccable cleanliness, making them an indispensable cultural staple for both locals and travelers in Japan. For JSA's Konbini event, we aim to bring a taste of the Japanese konbini experience to George Mason students, exploring the vast konbini culture of Japan.
