This 1‑hour, hands‑on workshop introduces participants to the basics of 3D modeling in Tinkercad, including building forms, modifying shapes, and understanding common CAD terms. Attendees will practice modeling a chess pawn in both additive and subtractive styles, gaining confidence with tools like holes, revolve, align, and sketch features. Along the way, they’ll learn how to import, export, and prepare files for 3D printing while exploring real examples of how Tinkercad can be used creatively beyond engineering. It’s an accessible, beginner‑friendly session designed to show that anyone can start designing in 3D with the right guidance. Attendees should come with a personal laptop with Tinkercad installed before the workshop.
