Emerging Scholar Symposium Reception

The Emerging Scholars Symposium is an initiative proposed and organized by the Sociology program at George Mason University. In support of this effort, the Public Sociology Association will host a symposium to welcome invited scholars who may be considered in future hiring pools. Together with the department, we aim to create opportunities for outstanding emerging scholars to connect with the Sociology program. As a student organization, we recognize the importance of fostering a dynamic and engaged academic community for both graduate and undergraduate students

This event will also provide students with valuable networking opportunities to engage with emerging scholars, exchange ideas, and build professional connections. We will welcome emerging scholars from various graduate departments with refreshments in the Robeson Room.
