Patrick Q. Mason, the Leonard Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture at Utah State University, will speak about peace-making within the Latter-day Saint tradition. On November 9, at 4:30 p.m., in the Fenwick Library Main Reading Room, Mason will discuss his most recent book, Proclaim Peace: The Restoration's Answer to an Age of Conflict. Mason is a leading historian of the Latter-day Saint movement and a popular speaker who addresses the intersection of faith, doubt, and scholarship among contemporary Latter-day Saints.
If you're curious about the intersection of religion and violence, or curious about Mormonism, this is a great event for you.
