PhD, Professor Emeritus of Neurology and Biochemistry

Dr James Giordano is Professor Emeritus of Neurology and Biochemistry, and Chair Emeritus of the Neuroethics Program at Georgetown University Medical Center. As well, he is Chair Emeritus of the IEEE Brain Initiative, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Neuroscience, Health Promotions and Ethics at the Coburg University of Applied Sciences (GER), and has served as a Senior Fellow of the European Union Human Brain Project, and Senior Neuroscience Advisor to the World Health Organization.



The author of over 370 peer-reviewed papers, 10 books and 50 government reports, he is a Fellow of the Hastings Center for Ethics; the Royal Society of Medicine;  the Royal Society of Public Health,  is a former Fulbright Fellow; and is an elected member of the European Academy of Science and Arts.
