Spend some time outside and volunteer at the EDGE. Community service is a great way to unwind after the election and help serve the Mason Community.

We are looking for students, faculty, and staff to help us maintain the Piedmont Trail and the EDGE outdoor element course on the SciTech Campus.

The Piedmont Trail is a walking, hiking and running 1.2 mile loop situated within a 30 acre hardwood forest and wetland on the Mason Science & Technology campus near the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center. George Mason University students, staff and community members work side by side to move a mountain of mulch. Equipment and tools provided.

Bring water to stay hydrated and work gloves if you have them. Wear comfortable clothing (layers) and closed toed and heeled shoes that you won't mind getting dirty or wet.

University COVID guidelines require that all volunteers wear a mask and be 10ft apart at all times. Everyone must bring the results of the Daily Health Checker.
