The mission of Azucar, Latin Dance Club is to create a Latin dance community at Mason by providing members with introductory lessons and social events. We strive to create a safe space for all members of the George Mason University community to join and learn about various Latin dances. We also serve as a liaison between the D.C Metro area (VA, MD, and D.C) and the Mason Latin dance communities, so members may discover and explore more dance opportunities.

This club provides an inclusive space for George Mason University students to build friendships through dialogue, reflection, and shared reading. Through bi-monthly book club discussions of The Fountain magazine, the club encourages open conversation at the intersection of science, spirituality, and interfaith understanding among students of all backgrounds. It already exists outside of school as a volunteering event and the mission is to carry it as a club to reach more students to have educational and intellectual friendship dialogues for all students.
