We are looking for 6 people for the GMU Apex Team: 3 for the main team that competes in the Octane Collegiate league and 3 for a practice team that will participate in scrims and has the 2 subs for the main team.

To be eligible to compete, you must be a full time student (12+ credits) and be in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or greater). You should be available for about 6 hours a week to practice and 3 hours a week to compete. You must be able to communicate through Discord voice chat while playing.

There is no minimum required rank to be on the team.

Make sure that you are a part of the GMU Esports Discord, discord.gg/gmuesports, and have the Apex Legends role. All communication is done there, so you want to make sure that you do not miss any important information.

The tryouts will be held in the GMU Esports Discord, January 11-12, Saturday-Sunday. On the first day of tryouts at 7 pm EST, people who are not submitting gameplay will participate in the tryouts. For those submitting gameplay, it is due by 7 pm EST on the first day of tryouts, January 11. On the second day of tryouts at 7 pm EST, certain people of those who participated the first day and submitted gameplay will be called back to participate in the second round of tryouts.
