Do you have trouble starting papers because of self-doubt? Does worrying about a test make it hard for you to study? Any time you are being evaluated, tension can interfere with doing your best. This workshop examines the reasons for academic performance anxiety and explores strategies for coping with it.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Do you feel like you have too much on your plate, and not enough time to do it all? Do you worry that you spend too much or too little time studying? Learn the skills of successful time management and increase your ability to balance study with your other commitments.
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
This session will provide you with strategies for managing large projects such as research projects, community service events, and dissertations. Learn how to define the scope of your project, identify resources, create a timeline, and keep everything organized.

Having trouble motivating yourself to complete your work? Feel like you have hit a wall in your program? This session will help you explore your values, discuss strategies for motivating yourself, and assist you in developing goals to enter the next phase of your graduate career.
This workshop will be presented simultaneously in-person and online on Zoom.

While perfectionism seems like a worthy trait to have because it involves hard work and meticulousness, it has its downsides. Pursuing perfection is stressful and time consuming and can actually result in poor academic performance. This session will explore the perils of perfectionism and assist participants in setting more realistic goals.

Learn the reasons why you might be putting off your work and strategies for how to break out of the procrastination cycle.

This workshop will be held in-person in Student Union Building I (SUB I), Room 3311.
