Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) presents unique challenges to college students. When ADHD is undiagnosed and untreated, many students experience issues with school, work, and their social lives.
The workshop is a supportive way to learn more about the characteristics of ADHD; resources for assessment and support; and effective strategies for college and work.
Learn about how your values and expectations impact your motivation, ways that you can increase your success in college, and how to set achievable goals.
Do you find yourself constantly putting off projects, assignments, or commitments? You may be caught in the "not now, later" trap. Overcome this difficulty by discovering what makes you procrastinate.
The ability to concentrate, to focus one's attention exclusively on the task at hand, is essential to learning. Both internal and external distractions can make concentration difficult. This workshop examines these distractions and strategies to enhance concentration. You learn to identify your distractions and develop strategies to reduce them, practice relaxation techniques to improve focus, and explore other tactics to improve your concentration.
