The ability to concentrate, to focus one's attention exclusively on the task at hand, is essential to learning. Both internal and external distractions can make concentration difficult. This workshop examines these distractions and strategies to enhance concentration. You learn to identify your distractions and develop strategies to reduce them, practice relaxation techniques to improve focus, and explore other tactics to improve your concentration.

Are you mystified by your grades? Do you sometimes wonder why your study habits aren’t yielding the results you expect? Join our workshop on metacognition to discover powerful strategies that can enhance your learning experience.
Metacognition refers to the awareness and ability of learners to assess their own learning process and develop effective study strategies. It’s about understanding how you learn and making intentional choices to improve your study habits.
During this workshop we will discuss the crucial role metacognition plays in student learning and achievement. You will learn specific techniques to enhance your metacognitive skills and discover how to identify gaps in your learning, set goals, and optimize your study methods. Finally, we will explore ways to use your performance on assessments to improve your learning strategies.
Do you spend too much or too little time studying? Learn the three levels of successful time management and increase your ability to balance study with other activities.
