Welcome Back RSOs!

The RSO Lead Team hopes you had a restful winter break, and we are eager to help your club get ready for another successful semester!

Things to consider:

  • Presidents: Update the Mason360 Group Rosters within the first couple weeks
  • Review all upcoming events and reach out to the RSO Lead Team with questions (rso@gmu.edu)
  • All new RSO officers need to review the RSO HUB website (information is below)

RSO HUB Website is LIVE

We are excited to announce that the RSO HUB Website is available for all RSO officers - find everything you need in an organized and easy to search website.

International Week 2025

Student Funding Board (SFB)

SFB Reminders

  • Inquires for SFB application updates go directly to the Student Funding Board (SFB) team and not to SI Budget. 
  • Once the RSO application approval has been received, YOU must initiate a Payment Request in Mason360 per the instructions sent in your Mason360 chat. 
  • Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) do NOT automatically receive funding of $3,000 (Tier 1) or $6,000 (Tier 2). RSOs are required to submit an SFB application and receive approval to have access to these funds. RSOs are not guaranteed these dollar amounts as it is an application process. 
Visit the RSO Hub to ensure you know our guidelines and procedures!

SFB Food & Catering Updates

  • All meals must be $15 per person attending the event or less. 
  • SFB will pay no more than 15% tip on food orders. 
  • The RSO Is responsible for the following:
    • Placing the order with the vendor
    • Coordinating the pick-up or delivery options with the vendor
    • Being the primary contact for vendor communication
    • Initiating the Payment Request for "Purchasing Card/(Pcard)" purchase for the use of the SFB funds
    • Attaching an invoice or quote from the vendor to the Payment Request. Do not send screenshots of catering.
  • SI Budget is responsible for the following:
    • Making the payment to the vendor.

Spring 2025 Dates to Know

No SFB application processing will take place the following dates. Take these dates into account when submitting your applications. 

  • Monday, March 10th, 2025 - Friday, March 14th, 2025 (Spring Break)
  • Friday, April 11th, 2025- SFB Funding Application Closes 
    • No submissions will be accepted after this date. 
    • All submissions must be compliant with respective application deadlines. Please refer to the RSO Hub for further guidance.
