The Mason Film Festival is an annual film festival at George Mason University showcasing the diverse work of Film and Video Studies students, including that of beginning video students, intermediate directing students, and graduating seniors. This year, the festival will take place over four days, April 22-24 and Saturday, April 27.

The Senior Directing Showcase will include screenings of films made by Directing Capstone students from FAVS 499 and Independent Study and a student filmmaker Q&A.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is extremely limited, and we do expect this event to sell out, so please arrive early to check-in and get a seat! Each attendee must have their own separate reservation. A reservation does not guarantee admission, so make sure you arrive early. Seats cannot be held for people arriving late. Wristbands verifying registration will be distributed upon check-in, and only attendees with wristbands will be able to enter the theater. A livestream of proceedings in the JC Cinema will be available in the JC Gold Room for those who do not have reservations or who arrive late.

George Mason University is committed to providing access and reasonable accommodations in its services, programs, and activities. Please make accommodation requests related to a disability by contacting Anjuli Singh (asingh80@gmu.edu) at least one week prior to the event.

In order to increase accessibility for all audiences, all films screened in this year's Festival will have open captions (captioning featured on screen).
