Joe Maloney is a public affairs, external affairs and corporate communications professional, experienced at building, scaling, and deploying campaigns to achieve reputation, brand, legislative, and regulatory outcomes at the federal, state, and local level. With two decades of experience in issues management and corporate affairs campaigns, Joe has been at the forefront of intersecting policy and business challenges affecting a variety of industries, including energy/industrials, technology, hospitality, gaming and sports betting, manufacturing, and sports.

Today, he proudly serves as the head of public affairs and strategic communications for the Washington Commanders, a newly created position under Team President Jason Wright. Combining a variety of disciplines including strategic communications and media relations, government relations, and public affairs, he spearheads the Team's external engagement on a variety of key policy and corporate initiatives, ensuring business, community, governmental, and civic leaders across the National Capital Region can engage with the organization and support the Team's efforts to foster economic growth and build community.
