For the last 6 years, the LEAD Office, Student Support and Advocacy Center, and Women and Gender Studies have hosted campus wide programming focused on ending sexual and interpersonal violence at George Mason University. Due to COVID-19 and University safety protocol, we are hosting this year's programming via Zoom and hope you will be able to join us. This year's planning team is working hard to develop educational programming and outreach to support the Chapter Next Program. See below for a schedule of this year's Chapter Next program.

Chapter Next: Pledge Workshop

Join us as we work together to revise our campus pledge to end sexual and interpersonal violence.

Chapter Next: Educational Session

Please join us at our educational sessions to learn more about various topics relating to sexual and interpersonal violence. From 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, we will host separate educational sessions discussing the academic, financial and mental health impacts of sexual and interpersonal violence. Students will be able to choose which session they want to attend. From 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, we will host three separate educational sessions on Title IX, supporting secondary survivors and friends, and a survivor space for survivors where we will share tips on managing activism, involvement, and self care. Students will be able to choose which session they want to attend.

Chapter Next: Opening Ceremony

Join us for the official Chapter Next Opening Ceremony featuring Dr. Tamara Harvey, Interim Director for Women and Gender Studies, President Washington, Mason for Survivors, Domestic and Sexual Violence services, and thee Student Support and Advocacy Center.

Chapter Next: Survivor Space

The Student Support and Advocacy Center advocates are hosting a Chapter Next Survivor Space at 5:00 PM after the Opening Ceremony. Survivor Space is a confidential and welcoming space for student survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence. the Chapter Next Survivor Space will take place on Zoom and we will share the Zoom link will be shared at the opening ceremony. No registration is required.
