Hypernova Solar Car Team is the largest and most prestigious student-run engineering organization at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. We design, build, test, and compete with fully solar-powered electric vehicles, which then we race in international competitions against universities from all around the globe.

The Hypernova Solar car team is currently seeking new student members from ALL types of engineering disciplines and ANY major at George Mason. There is no experience required to join!

We meet at MIX at Horizon hall from 3 to 5pm every Friday, and 4 to 6PM on Tuesdays during the school year!

Applied engineering skills aren't taught early enough in the STEM curriculum anywhere, as many of the skills engineers need are learned through projects. Through the MID Team, be we plan to bring applied engineering skills in Arduino, CAD, C++ (Arduino IDE), and innovation to the College of Engineering and Computing at George Mason University, with an emphasis on medical device R&D.
