Julia Morelli, M.A., '95, and B.A., '83, President of the George Mason University Instructional Foundation, Inc., invites alumni, students, and friends to practice mindful movements designed to help release stress and quiet the mind. The gentle stretches include fluid movements that are easy to do, and offer a feeling of renewal. Sponsored by the George Mason University Alumni Association’s Work Committee in collaboration with the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being (CWB).

Military Monday: Building Our Military and Veteran Community at Mason | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EST        

Join us for our inaugural Military Mondays event series as our speaker, Keith Renshaw, PhD (Department Chair and Professor of Psychology) and Troy Lowery, BA ‘15, MAIS ‘18 (Director of Student Outreach, College of Humanities and Social Sciences) give a brief overview of the initiative and lead a discussion about how to strengthen the sense of community among Mason’s military-connected students, alumni, faculty, and staff, particularly during the pandemic. Mindfulness and Well-Being | 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. EST       

Join Deanna Busteed, Registered Dietitian, Yoga teacher, and a sports dietician with Mason Athletics for a Mindful Practice workshop to help cultivate calm in your life. Alumni, students, and friends are invited to participate in this session which will focus on reflection and short mindful practices along with personalized action items to help you deepen your current practice or begin a new one.
