Formula SAE at George Mason University, known as GMU FSAE, seeks to provide the Mason community with an opportunity to develop engineering expertise by applying concepts learned inside the classroom in the hands-on setting of the rigorous international Formula SAE competition. The interdisciplinary nature of designing, modeling, and fabricating a formula-style vehicle from scratch, managing sponsorships and donations, and leading small, mission-focused teams is a unique chance to best mimic an industry-level project which demands cohesive teamwork from members with various backgrounds.

While engineering-focused by nature, FSAE works best when supported by members in non-engineering fields, and is open to any member of the Mason community at large.

Hypernova Solar Car Team is the largest and most prestigious student-run engineering organization at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. We design, build, test, and compete with fully solar-powered electric vehicles, which then we race in international competitions against universities from all around the globe.

The Hypernova Solar car team is currently seeking new student members from ALL types of engineering disciplines and ANY major at George Mason. There is no experience required to join!

We meet at MIX at Horizon hall from 3 to 5pm every Friday during the school year!
