About

The Student Government of George Mason University Korea is a body that is intended to assist in relations between the George Mason University Korea administration and George Mason University Korea students, and between the Incheon Global Campus (IGC) Foundation and George Mason University Korea students. The primary objective of the Student Government is to improve and maintain the quality of student life at George Mason University Korea, having three main branches that help accomplish that goal.

The Executive Branch

The Executive Branch is comprised of 6 positions appointed by the Student Body President and Vice President. The appointed members serve in directed liaison roles throughout the Mason Korea community in various projects, events, and initiatives.

The Student Senate

The Student Senate, which includes the Board of Major Representatives, serves as direct representatives for the student body and is elected each fall and spring. Student Senators are required to sit on two committees:

  • Administrative and Financial Affairs
  • Academics
  • Diversity and Multicultural Affairs
  • University Life

The Elections and Disputes Commission

The Elections and Disputes Commission (EDC) are tasked with hosting the fall and spring election process and upholding our governing documents. The Election Committee is established as an independent body from the Student Government of George Mason University Korea.
