Join OIPS for an International Education Week 2021 dialogue to discuss the following questions about culture:
What exactly is culture, and how does culture, and our cultural assumptions, affect our work, both with students and with each other?
What do we mean when we say a particular culture is "high context" or "low context"?
What are some tools that can make us more effective in communicating across cultures?
How can we better engage and interact with international students in the classroom?
Join graduate student panelists from the International Education Policy program sharing their study/research experiences and how to best utilize campus resources to thrive at Mason!

Exchange perspectives across cultures on the challenges of equitable vaccine access during a public health emergency. FREE T-SHIRTS!
Learn from students sharing tips on how to successfully pronounce their names. This session focuses on name pronunciation in Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Vietnamese, as well as in languages spoken in India.

Join us for fun and competitive international trivia. Test your knowledge and skills with topics varying from geography, flags, and languages. There will be prizes given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd players!
