Get ready to stand out! This session will cover how to talk about your experiences and craft a personal pitch that shines in interviews and networking. Presented by University Career Services. In-person attendees will have the chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card and other prizes through a raffle.

Let's end Health Professions Week on a good note! Come hang out, do some good, and help assemble hygiene kits for individuals in need. It’s a simple way to give back and that will make a real difference in our community!
Back by popular demand, this interactive session will focus on developing and writing a strong personal statement for health professional school applications. We will cover what admission committees advise to do versus don't, as well as resources at George Mason that will be useful during the writing process. This event is in collaboration with the Office of Fellowships. In-person attendees will have the chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card and other prizes through a raffle.

Join us for George Mason's 3nd annual Health Professions Program Fair! Connect with admissions representatives from over 30 health professional programs, including medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, pharmacy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and more. This is a great way to learn about different healthcare career paths, academic requirements, and application processes. There will also be free lunch, giveaways, and T-shirts (while supplies last)!
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Enhance your suturing skills and learn about how to fund your education by serving in the military with the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP). The session will begin with an overview of HPSP, followed by a Q&A, and then move into hands-on instruction and practice of basic suture techniques. Presented by the U.S. Army Medical Recruiters.
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
As part of Health Professions Week, learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose emergency using naloxone at this training event provided by GMU's Risk, Safety, & Resilience department.
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Learn how to provide first aid to large volume bleeding and use a tourniquet at this training event provided by GMU's Risk, Safety, & Resilience department. Registration is required. Free tourniquets will be provided to all registered participants.
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Join us for a two-part session designed to help you feel confident in preparing for any standardized admissions exam! We’ll start with covering practical test-taking strategies and sample questions, then have recent MCAT and DAT test takers share their experiences and answer your questions in an open Q&A. This event is in collaboration with Learning Services.
