The mission of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association for Women (AMSAW) is to spread the message of Ahmadiyyat, a sect of Islam which believes that the second-coming of Jesus has arrived in the name of the Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmed. His goal was to revive Islam and its teachings while also rejecting violence and terrorism, with the motto "Love for all, Hatred for none." We will educate students and spread awareness of Ahmadiyya Islam through distributing literature and pamphlets from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, provide service-related opportunities to members, and to build a tight-knit community where members can participate in discussions of religious and secular education. Girl Up at George Mason University is a non-religious, non-political organization; our mission is to empower individuals on George Mason University's campus to become involved through education, advocacy, public service, and fundraising to allow young girls around the world to reach their full potential. As a campaign of the UN Foundation, fundraising will support Girl Up and UN Foundation programs that directly contribute to the advancement of girls' rights, health, and education in developing countries.
